1/700 JMSDF Shimokita LST-400 (Tamiya)
This is the second member of the Osumi Class of Tank Landing Ships of the JMSDF (Japan Maritime Self Defence Force), LST-4002 SHIMOKITA (178,0 mts. length, 8.900t. load). but has more in common with amphibious assault ships as she lacks the bow doors and beaching capability traditionally associated with LSTs. Her well deck has the capacity to launch 2 LCACs (hovercraft) carring up to 100 troops, 4 vehicles or one Type 90 Heavy tank.
The kit length is 25.4cm. I used rails set of Tom's Modelworks.
