1/100 LCI- (L)1018 (Scratchbuilt)
This is my scratch built 1/100th scale model of LCI (L)-1018. The model is built mainly out of cardboard and took me about 2 months to build. The real LCI (L)-1018 was constructed in 1944 from February to April in Portland, OR.. She saw action in the Philippines at both Leyte and Luzon in 1944. The model will be donated to the Oregon Maritime Museum in Portland, OR. and from what I have been told, the mother of a former museum member christened the ship when it was launched.
