The Model

Revell 1/375 catalogue number 05018

Straight from the box. No special problems to report. It has a flat bottom and all the parts are clean and crisp free. The worksheet is easy to follow, also for the younger modeler.

I decided to call the diorama “Last Port of Call”. As you could read by the specific information, the final disposition is unknown. It shows the once “proud” Montrose moored with chains on 2 buoys, somewhere in the United States. It has not been looked after for a number of years. Rust has taken over the complete ship. Waiting for the ship broker to dismantle it. Indeed a sad end to this workhorse of the Amphibious Campaigns during World War II, Korea and Vietnam.
