1/350 USS Arizona BB-39 (Banner)
A model that took me quite a few years to finish, due to graduating high school and going away to college, finally finished it about a year after college, and am pretty happy with the way it came out. this was my first time using photoeched parts. I was going to get the detail kit for the ship but just wanted to get it done so I passed on that. The water is acrylic gel medium painted insigina blue, with touches of white for the wakes. A coat of future made the water evenly glossly. I wanted to present the Arizona recovering one of her spotter aircraft and used a touch of green into the blue to lighten it and smoothed out the gel to give the resemblence of the ship creating a lee for the aircraft's recovery.
