1/350 USS New Mexico BB-40 (scratchbuilt)

This is my scratch-built 1/350 model of the New Mexico.  The model represents the ship during her late-1941 Neutral Patrols in the Atlantic.  The hull and superstructure are entirely made from basswood and styrene.  Smaller parts are either scratch-built or cannibalized from other kits (all gun turrets, weapons, directors, boats, aircraft, etc.).  The photo-etch parts come from various Tom’s Modelworks, Classic Warships, and Iron Shipwright sets.
