1/700 USS Tennessee BB-43 (Scratchbuilt)
From Profile Warship #21, I made in 2000 the 1/700 WL Scratchbuild of BB43 - USS Tennessee.
I have always admired this battleship,
One of the most powerful and well balanced ever built, with heavy armour, powerful artillery and a classic speed of 21kts.
Lightly damaged at Pearl Harbour and magnificently rebuilt from Sept 1942 to May 1943, She was present at many Pacific battles and particulary in the last battleship engagement, at Surigao Strait.
I represented her during Okinawa battle with her pyramidial rebuild and her typical blue paint.
