1/500 USS California BB-44 (Scratchbuild)
This is my USS California BB-44. She is in a measure 31. This is actually the measure 31 which West Virginia used but the only one I can see both sides.
The hull and bridge are wood. The control tower is from Revell with modifications. The mark 37's are wood. 14" guns are from Arizona and 5" 38's are from Missouri. Gold Medal photo-etch rails,radars,and ladders are installed. At this time of the war, she carried a kingfisher. Mine came from a Revell cruiser.
