1/500 USS Maryland BB-46 (Revell Kitbash)
This is my USS Maryland as she appeared in 1945. The kits I converted came from Revell. The scale is 1/500.
The 16" twin turrets are from Missouri as are the 5" 38's and 40mm. The bridge is cut up Arizona and strip plastic. The cage mast was the most difficult to recreate and I used some screen door material. Its as close as I could ever get it. Two cuts with a hacksaw takes the center out of the turrets,glue a plastic post on and set on turret bases from Arizona and they rotate fine. The mark 37's are wood and pe.
This was a ton of fun to do. Please forgive the lack of accuracy.
