1/700 USS Maryland (Trumpeter)
There are plenty of reviews and discussion about this kit so I won't
included that here. I got this kit as a quick spring break project and
had her built in two days. The build was pretty straight forward and all
the pieces fit together really well. Trumpeter did a good job with the
fit of this kit. After the ship is painted the over sized torpedo blister
isn't as apparent, in my opinion. I should have spent some more time on
the painting of the ship, as well as doing it in sub-assemblies. The photo
etch Trumpeter provides is very fragile, hence why the only PE on my build
is the cage masts. I'd have to say this is a great little kit, and a good
first 1/700 for me (I normally build 1/350). You also get lots of extras
too, so I included a picture. If I were to build this kit again I'd definitely
take my time. I would really recommend this kit!
