BB-48 USS West Virginia - 1944
Model is the Iron Shipwright USS West Virginia/Tennessee/California - 1944 resin kit. Kit comes with parts for all three ships. I chose to build my kit as the BB-48 West Virginia in 1944 wearing Measure 32 pattern 7d. Ship is dipicted fresh from overhaul in July 1944 after completing repairs for the heavy damage suffered at Pearl Harbor on 7 December 1941.

This was a terrific kit to build. Most fun I've had building a model straight from the box in a long time. Model required NO modifications or having to repair parts prior to assembly. Wish all resin kits were like this. Used Testor's Poly S Scale line of acrylic paints for the Camo scheme.

Added two pictures of my BB-48 West Virgina - 1940 and 1944 models together. Compare how much this one ship changed in four short years.
