1/350 USS North Carolina (Scratchbuilt)

As usual, I made the hull in plain wood . The hull is rather difficult because of the shape. The stuctures are in plain wood and plywood, plus paper. The wooden deck is made with packing paper, sligthtly painted with blue ink.

I used plans from Floating drydock. they are good, but I had difficulties to understand how it is built around the first funnel. Plans and photos are not very clear on that subject. As for all my models. I used my own photoetch plus resin products from L'Arsenal, such as 5 inches guns, 40 mms, 20 mms, MK 37, whale boats. I also used PE from Lion Roar , North Stars and Alliance.

Painting . The hull is a mixture of life color ,and the sea is made with life color mixed with Gel medium . And when dried ,i put a brilliant varnish .
