1/350 USS Iowa BB-61 (Tamiya)

The Iowa class needs little introduction from me, however until recently very few open bridge Iowa's had appeared in the gallery, and the desire to do something a little different was upon me. The conversion is actually not that bad detailing the basic Tamiya kit took a lot longer. The portholes have been drilled and are slightly overscale due to the heating effects when using the Dremel (lesson learnt use a smaller drill bit).

The build has taken just over 12 months.
