1/700 USS Iowa BB-61 (Tamiya)
The USS Iowa BB-61 as she looked on her way from the Atlantic to the pacific in January 1944. At that time she was still painted in a feathered dull black/ocean gray system. Later the dull black was replaced in Pearl Harbour with navy blue and sharp edges.
I have build the Tamiya Iowa kit. The barrels of the 40.6cm guns i have replaced with metall barrels from lion roar. The 12.7cm turrets i have replaced with some from paper lab. The plastic 40mm aa guns with some of resin from loose canon and the 20mm aa guns with PE from GMM. Also i have used the GMM US battleship PE set and some other PE's.
