1/700 USS Missouri BB-63 (Trumpeter)
I can't say enough about the quality of Trumpeter's latest releases in 1/700 scale. I received this kit of the 1991 Missouri, along with the 1984 Iowa, as birthday presents this year. I enjoyed working on the Missouri so much I immediately started working on the Iowa, and I hardly ever do that (build two models in a row of the same type of ship).
It's just a great kit. Fit, finish, details are all top-rate. My kit is built out of the box - in the hands of someone skilled with after-market details, photo-etch, and so forth, this could be a true museum piece.
The model shows the Missouri as she appeared during Gulf War service in 1991.
Now back to that Iowa kit!
