1/500 USS Maryland BB-46 & USS Texas BB-35 (Revell/Kitbash)
While working on parts for cruisers Wichita and London, I have been upgrading some of my earlier kitbashes of the Revell 1/426 Arizona. These photos are of Maryland with an improved bridge and better 5" 38 twin mounts. Real anchor chain sits where the molded stuff was. Texas has a new and slightly more accurate bridge, funnel, rear tripod mast and changes to fire control. All the parts for superstructures came from Revell's arizona . The 5" 38'twins came from a Revell heavy cruiser and were about 5 bucks apiece on auction. I sure hope Matt Stein's parts get up an running soon for this scale. Both ships are shown in an unweathered MS22... gotta get an airbrush!!!!
