1/350 DKM Bismarck (Revell)

This model was constructed using the Revell of Germany 1:350 scale kit supplemented by a wood deck kit and Eduard 53035 and 53036 photo etch detail sets. At 1:350 scale, the model is 28 1/4” long. I drilled out portholes and installed led lights inside the model. I used EZ-Line fine elastic thread for rigging. The model was painted by airbrush using acrylic paints by Vallejo and Tamiya. I chose not to apply weathering and wear effects to the model. The camouflage scheme is as the Bismarck appeared when entering the Korsfjord in Norway on 21 May 1941; however the bow anchor, cutters, yawls, and dinghies on both sites, and the jackstaff and stern flagstaff had been removed by this time (KBismarck.com).*
