1/400 Bismarck (Airfix)
This is my first WW 2 warship in this scale and I modelled it as Bismarck. I have modelled other ships in varying scales as well as ships from other eras. I was fortunate to pick up this kit and the Airfix 1:400 scale HOOD recently from my local model shop; I believe they are based on the Heller kits. Care has to be taken in handling the parts as the plastic is quite soft. This is an out of the box model; no other parts were used. The only change I made was to the cranes which I altered to include cables. The painting was done by hand.
The detail is quite extensive and putting this kit together is time consuming but I feel well worth it. It is certainly well worth the price.
