The color scheme is a dazzle pattern called "splinter," in which the Tirpitz was painted between 1943 and 1944 while seeking refuge in the Norwegian flords. The kit has been assembled as directed with only a few deviations. This is my first ship of many to come. Painted using Tamiya acrylic paints.
