1/150 Jaureguiberry (Scratchbuilt)
This model of Jaureguiberry is built in scale 1/150. The hull is made with bulkheads and keel made of plywood. With the outer surface of the hull coated in wood veneers and coated in resin.
The deck is of wood, laid in individual planks.
The Turrets and the superstructure is made of laminated styrene, with turned aluminium and brass gun barrels. The military masts are wood and Styrene..
Most of the of the photoetch is home made including the rails.
The anchors were made of styrene.
The model represents the appearance of the ship shortly after beginning her service, the colours being peacetime Mediterranean. Fleet. Navy
Pre-radio days, so no antennas for WT. Communication by day was flags,and night lighting codes on masts.
The model is entirely scratch built.
