1/192 FS Jean Bart (Scratchbuilt)
Here's my build of Jean Bart in 1/192 scale. JB was built from plans from french naval site, it took a lot of time getting then to come out to exactly to 1/192 scale. Jean Bart's hull is plank on frame plywood, balsa, and then coated with resin. Upper works is balsa sheeted with styrene, guns and directors are cast from resin. It is very frustrating making molds, its finicky stuff; getting the right release agent, air bubbles out, etc. The only photo etch are the railings and the props. Pictures sure bring out flaws! I thought she was pretty good until I took thses pics, then the "boo boo's" showed up. My next one will be better. I would like to thank everyone on the forum for their imput and help- thanks a lot!
