1/350 Richelieu (Trumpeter)
French battleship Richelieu from the Trumpeter kit. I found this a fun build and while the kit has been panned in the past, I think it builds into a fine model. I used scrap PE for the railing and while I bought the brass guns for the main armament, I did not use them as I wanted the blast bags and could not find any offered with brass. The secondary guns are brass but they are the only ones on the model. This ship was built with the WWII camouflage scheme but would make a nice post war build in just grey. I’ve added the Richelieu to my collection of WWII battleships and it makes a unique French addition to the usual US, British, German and Japanese fair.
