1/350 HMS Hood (Trumpeter)
After many years I returned to plastic models with HMS Hood from Trumpeter. The kit is like the curates egg...good in parts. But a lot of flash and poor fits of some key areas especially round the bridge area. I used a very complete PE set from Big Blue Boy and other aftermarket from NorthStar Models. I also used a Scaledecks wooden deck which I have to say is fantastic. I have set her in a “sea base” which I hope looks sort of realistic. An airbrush was use but much was hand painted. I also made much use of The Hood Association website and this site .I have to say I`m quite pleased with how its turned out.
