1/700 HMS Hood 1941 (Tamiya)
The model represents the HMS Hood in her last days, in May 1941. Despite the years, the kit from Tamiya is excellent and I almost didn't have to make any modification. To improve the final result I used the Voyager set, with great quality but with some omissions and errors in the instructions. Referring to the painting, I used Humbrol enamels, mixing by equal parts the following ones: 140 (Gull gray), 77 (Navy blue) and 34 (White) in order to get the color of the ship, as recommended on the Hood Association website. Finally the weathering was made with oils and Ammo products.
