HMS Commonwealth 1918
by Rob Kernaghan

1/700 HMS Commonwealth 1918 (Combrig)

This kit started life as a Combrig Brittania in August 2005 and was built at a fairly leisurely pace over a few months. She was completed in December 2005.

The changes to the original kit include a bulged hull, opened-up battery deck and a different rig.

The alterations are pretty-much scratch-built and the paint-job (with 5-colour cam scheme) is mostly a base of WEM enamels with some Humbrol enamels plus artists' oils from W&N.

Water is my usual method.

Photoetch is from WEM, GMM, Atlantic and Eduard.
