1/700 HMS Dreadnought (Combrig)

This is Combrig's 1/700 HMS Dreadnought finished in her 1907 fit. I use "Anatomy of the Ship:Dreadnought" by John Robets as my primary reference. This is an excellent kit. Everything is spot-on comparing to the drawings in the AOTS book except that the length of deckhouse after aft funnel seems to be too short.

Construction is pretty much straight forward. The kits comes with its own photo-etched set but no rails. My rails are from GMM and Tom's. Resin kit masts and derricks were replaced by brass rods so they won't bent when applying rigging. I also cut down the height of tripod masts a little bit. They were too tall compared to AOTS Dreadnought drawings. I followed AOTS book as much as possible to capture the busy look of an early 20th century warship.

Some notes on rigging. After several failed attempts to recreate the cage aerials I gave up. I use single lines as place holders for now. Will do that again once I figure out how to make those @#$%^& 1/700 cage aerials look good.
