I thought I was a rather lonely ship modeller til I discovered it. It's sheer inspiration. I thought I was quite good. Some of the stuff I've seen now is both inspirational, and deeply depressing in the sense that I doubt my ability as I get older to achieve such standards. But what the hell. Enjoyment for enjoyment's sake is what it's about. I think. Attached are photos of my recently completed Combrig King Edward VII 1:700. I notice a couple of other modellers have feature this as well. Would be pleased if you publish them More than happy to have my contact details i.e. email address) published. Notes for the pictures as follows: Combrig 1:700 King Edward VII My first ever resin warship build. A joyful material - much nicer to handle and work with than polystyrene. And the detail and sharpness is incredible. I added detail (yards, dereks, anti-torpedo nets etc.) using stretched sprue. Boat davits are 5-amp fuse wire. No photo-etched parts used on this model. Next project is the Combrig Tiger. Then I will try my hand with photo-etch and maybe stretched sprue rigging. This model was a test to see what could be achieved before getting to ambitious. <> <> <> <> Regards Chris Smithers, Felixstowe, Suffolk, UK
