1/350 Prince of Wales (Tamiya)
I started this ship way back in 1995, before I realized the existence of the Classic Warships pub. series.

The camouflage colors were a combination of my own imagination and those illustrated on the box art. So they are by no means authentic, the results are agreeable enough, but I am sure the purists will raise an eyebrow or two.

The model was built straight from the box. Humbrol colors were used: light grey (H64),
medium grey (H106), neutral grey (H176) for the top of the gun turrents and boat deck, beige green (H90) for the starboard range finder and the bow, medium blue on mid-ship hull from a mix of H96 and H122, dark grey green (H91) on the bridge, dark blue camouflage on the gun barrels and sides of the hull is a mix of H96 and black. Sea grey ( H27) was applied to the top surfaces of the Walrus biplane.

All paints were hand-brushed on.

The whole project took about 70 hours, spread over 3 years.
