This is my first attempt at a 1/350 ship, first time with PE, first time with an airbrush (first model in more than 20 years!) Repulse has always been a favourite of mine and as I have dived on her several times I was keen to make her in "as sunk" conditions. This has required some kit bashing of the Trumpeter kit as there are multiple inaccuracies. I have used used the WEP Repulse PE set, the GMM Hood and Hood plus PE set, Sea-Master barrels for almost all the guns and L-Arsenal Oerilkons and Carley floats. Paint is all WEP and the colour scheme is a best guess based on a discussion with John Roberts. The rear deck houses were scratch built from brass and the bridge modified to get the correct ladder arrangements. reference texts have included the Admiralty plans, John Robert's "British Battleships of WW2", "Ensign 8 Repulse and Renown", New Vanguard "British Battle Cruisers 1939-45", Profile Morskie Repulse, and various others... I would like to thank the members of the Model Warship community for there very generous help with photos and advice.
