HMS Repulse

1/600 HMS Repulse (Airfix)

Nice built as most of as know, however my kit suffered from badly warped hull and superstructure pieces which were almost impossible to glue together. I had to resort to using epoxy at the end even for smaller pieces which doesn't help the finesse of the finished model. The model was painted a pre-war light Grey (humbrol 147) and was slightly weathered with a single hand of oil wash.

Some of the White Ensign etched set was used but I didn't see much point spending too much time on replacing every small detail as it wasn't meant to be a super-detail project. It's main strength is the shape of the actual ship itself which is very elegant and proportioned and that's what I wanted to portray mostly.
