1/700 IJN Kongo (Fujimi)
The model was painted with WEM's Sasebo grey; big mistake though after her final refit she was painted with Kure grey NOT Sasebo, nevertheless she did wear Sasebo before Kure and here is when I got confused while reading her tabular record of movement (TROM) on the Combinedfleet website. Type 89 AA guns were replaced with Lionroar's, very nice casting and great brass barrels. The figures are from Eduard's, railings are Tom's, P.E binoculars and awning stanchions are from Flyhawk. Those PE doors you see are from Voyager, many extra things like anchors, ladders, radars, plane cradles came from a variety of PE leftovers I had from Flyhawk and Pit-Road. I also replaced some of the boats and both planes with Pit-Road's and that nice chrysanthemum crest you see on the bow came from L'Arsenal. The rigging was done using stretched sprue.
