1/350 IJN Musashi (Tamiya)
This is the Tamiya Musashi, which I have always preferred over the Yamato kit. The barrels are Aber and the Etch set is the Yamato from Lion Roar which I assumed would be 95% correct for Musashi. In hindsight I should have shopped around as I have since discovered sets for Musashi!. The etch took some time to fit and for reference I was working off the AOTS Yamato hardcover book. After the main deck was finished I gave it 4 coats over several days of MIG Filter "brown for dark yellow" to give it a bit of a weathered and worn look. As I could never paint 1/350 figures the Pit-Road set works very well to give scale to Musashi.
Overall considering the age of the kit it went together easily and the Etch brings it to a far higher level. A very enjoyable build.
