This is a representation of IJN Yamato during the operation "Ten Go", under attack by USN warplanes. The ship is already hit by a bomb and two torpedos (bow and midships), and another is on its way (about the secondary gun aft turret level). This is the first of my ship models represented in what I call an abobe/below waterline representation (a/b waterline; actually this is a term first suggested by Jim Baumann after I sent him several images of my ships in this representation). In this way all the details of the ship are displayed and there is no need to cut the model at the waterline level to display it on a surface. As you can see in this model and in the next models of this series that I will submit soon, the water surface can be molded effortlessly with the undulations of the sea level to make a realistic representation of the sea.
