1/350 IJN Yamato (Tamiya)
This is my 1/350 Yamato from Tamiya. I used Eduard photo-etched parts, and GMM doors and hatches, the doors with the Eduard set had very little detail compared to the GMM doors. I used all Testors Model Master Acryl paints, and weathered her with artist's oils.
This was my first time using Eduard photo-etch, I think I will stick with Gold Medal Models from now on. The Eduard set was a few dollars less, but I think the detail just is not up to the GMM standards, and the directions were not nearly as helpful and clear as they should have. I spent a lot of time on the internet looking at pictures to figure out where many parts were supposed to go.
This build took me about 50 hours, plus all the research time.
