This time present you with the Italian battleship Littorio in 1:700 from Regia Marina. I have showed her in her final configuration, when she was renamed "Italia" and surrendered to the allies.
This was a fantastic kit, and some of the in-progress shots are to show off the photo-etch and resin casting. The masts are scratch built and include some scavenged yard arms.
The camouflage is entirely hand painted. The effect on the steel deck was done by cutting grooves in the deck with a knife, then highlighting them with a pencil, followed by several washes. I admit the effect is somewhat overdone but it's better than nothing.
