1/700 Potempkin (Combrig)

Here are photos of my model of the Battleship Potemkin, represented as she appeared during the mutiny of 1905. Why anyone would want to show her at any other time or under her later name of Panteleimon is totally beyond me!!!

The model is by Combrig, resin in 1/700 scale with photoetch by White Ensign and Gold Medal. Rigging is my usual method of using nylon cord teased out to individual fibres.

The model won best ship at the IPMS Scottish Nationals in 2004.

Incidentally, disaster struck 2 days before the show when it landed upside down in my lap as I was adding the last detail. The after mast was smashed and I spent 2 very late nights repairing it. You can see the dog-leg in the mast!
