This is her appearance when she escorted two army transports to the Philippines. Ship is in Measure 2 camouflage with a Measure 5 false bow wave. Model is a Blue Water Navy USS Northampton 1/350 resin kit. Hardest part of building this kit was making the tripod main mast. Had a heck of a time making the correct length brass rods. Kit provides the shorter more modern tripod which is useless for the Chester for this time period. Nothing was lost cause I used it on another cruiser (USS Augusta) model. The fore mast and bridge work was also modified with hand made bridge work and round machine gun platforms on the fore tripod mast. This is different than the kits Northampton appearance. Thanks again, Dave Becker P.S. Found the BB-58 model on your site. Looks better than I thought it would. -------------------------------------------------------------------- [Image] [Image] [Image] [Image] [Image] [Image] [Image] [Image] [Image]
