1/700 USS Indianapolis CA-35 (Tamiya)
This is my first "serious" 1/700 waterline build.
Accessories used;
Tom's Indianapolis PE set
Midship Models, Life boats, Quad 40 mm, 5 in guns, Paravanes, Searchlights.
The foredeck was sanded and rescribed, the Bow 20 mm gun tubs were made using aluminum sheet, 20mm and 40 mm gun round sub bases were made of styrene with a punch and die set, masts are brass and alum. rod, vertical antenna's are fine alum. wire, as are the funnel stays, the anchor chain is from Walthers, rigging is mono line and fine alum wire. Various bits of styrene, alum. and pe were added where I saw it needed as per references.
