Conversion of Tamiya USS Indianapolis 1945 to USS Indianapolis 1944 CA-35
- Sanded and re-scribed wooden planking on fore deck to correct dual 20mms and shields
- Additional 20mm on bridge wing
- New tripod for forward new modified fighting top and new foremast
- New main battery directors
- 5” directors modified to open top mk 28 version
- Hollowed funnel caps and new p/e grating
- Aft mast rec’d additional supports and detailing
- All splinter shields thinned
- New catapult towers to include walkways etc.
- Additional pair of 20mm aft of after funnel
- New aft main battery base
- Shortened in-line 20mm gallery
- 20mm mount on after main turret
- New splinter shields for 40mm mounts and directors on fantail unique to Indianapolis
- Master barrels for 8” and 5” mounts
- p/e 40mm & 20mm
- 3 p/e detailed SOC-3 Seagull float planes incl folded wings
- Various additional deck fittings and p/e
- Painted in Measure 32/7d camouflage with differences unique to Indianapolis
