1/350 USS Minneapolis CA-36 Classic Warships).
USS Minneapolis CA-36 as she appeared in March 1939. Ship is in pre-war #5 Navy Gray.
Model is the Classic Warships USS San Francisco CA-38 resin 1/350 kit. Had to back date this 1942 San Francisco into the USS Minneapolis. This involved removing all of the secondary armament gun tubs and reworking the bridge to pre 1.1" Quad AAA installation. Hanger deck platform extenders were made and additional boats were found and placed in their correct positons.
I believe the Pre-World War II USN color scheme is my favorite.
