1/350 USS San Fransisco CA-38 (Trumpeter)
This kit is a very fun build, offers good detail, and is a decent value. It could benefit from a PE set, but I went ahead and built this one out of the box. I plan to build another in a more traditional wartime scheme and with the addition of PE. For this build, I chose to paint her in prewar colors. I used Model Masters Standard Navy Gray and substituted in Euro Gray 1 in for Standard Deck Gray that doesn't seem to be available in acrylic. The hull is painted a custom mix of MM paints.
