1/700 USS Baltimore CA-68 (Trumpeter)
This is my 1/700 USS Baltimore as she appeared in late 1943. I used the Trumpeter 1943 Baltimore kit and modified it to the slightly later appearance. I added the extra quad 40's and scratch built the larger 20 mm tubs near the bridge. I used 3D Modelparts twin 5 inch mounts, quad 40 mm guns, single 20 mm guns, directors, and range finders. I painted her in MS21 using AK Interactive acrylics, added a generic PE set, and used Modelkasten 0.07 mm wire for rigging. I made the base from medium acrylic gel painted and glossed with cotton for the wake.
