DKM Prinz Eugen

The DKM Heavy cruiser Prinz Eugen of the Admiral Hipper class. The Prinz Eugen was the third and last member of the Hipper-class which comes in service. The Sydlitz and Lützow was never been finished.

The construction of the Prinz was a little improved in comparsion to her sisters the Hipper and Blücher. The Prinz Eugen was a little longer and the upperworks espacially the aircraft hangar was different.

The kit is from Samek and for a several years available. For my opinion it is the best kit of the Prinz Eugen but up to now I have only see unfinished kits (in the box) from Tamiya, H-P models and High-Mold. Also I have build a H-P models Admiral Hipper and this kit was not so good as the Samek kit.

But the detailing and casting of the Samek kit is superb. A PE set is included. The kit shows the Prinz at the end of WWII with an improved AA armament.
