This is the Tamiya Prinz Eugen as it appeared at its late 1943 fit. Several details were scratch built and upgraded, specially the main radar. I used Gunze paint, as well as Tamiya pastels and art pastels for the weathering. The deck was a single custom mix, and then brushed with a combination of pastels. Photoetch from White Ensign, Eduard and Gold Metal Models and Toms Model Works were used. Overall a good kit, with the legendary Tamiya quality. The fit was very good, almost no filler used in the hull and some in the super-structure. Main barrels are from Lion Roar, and the heavy AA guns barrels were made from stretched sprue, as well as the rigging. Overall the detail is not up to date, as this kit is from the early 90s, but with adequate care it can be upgraded to modern standards.
