1/600 DKM Admiral Graf Spee (Airfix)
I based my Graf Spee on the provocative action painting of her at the Battle of the River Plate, featured in "The German Navy at War" volume 1 by Siegfried Breyer & Gerhard Koop, page 118, unfortunately the caption does not state the artist.
I modified the Airfix kit extensively and added WEM`s superb accessories and colour coats. Reference material and models seem to vary a lot as to her final fit. A set of photos taken of her in Montevideo Harbour proved an excellent reference. She will always remain one of Naval histories "what ifs".
