1/350 Admiral Graf Spee (Academy)
This is my first ship build in almost 30 years, and was a challenge to model something different from my normal subjects. this Academy kit was built with the following detail sets. a photo-etched set from White Ensign for this kit was used and this enhanced the detail further. the gun barrels were replaced with item from Master barrels and again these additions added in the detail. all the figures came from Eduard sets for DKM figures. The model was the made into a waterline model and mounted on a suitable base from EMA heritage.
The whole model took about 4 months to complete and was a challenge in some areas and a joy in others, it has inspired me to have another go at a another ship i am just looking for a suitable kit to build.
