1/700 IJN Chikuma 1912 (104 Kosakubu)
IJN Chikuma participated in the hunt for SMS Emden during WWI and was patrolling the Andaman Sea but did not encounter Emden, one photo is of Chikuma with Emden (Classic Warships) and Zhemchug (Combrig) still under contruction.
The manufacturer, 104 Kosakubu, is a small company out of Matsue City in Shimane prefecture near the Sea of Japan coast. He makes wartime merchants, harbour craft, old torpedo boats and torpedoboat destroyers, and submarines as well as other subjects. I`ve recently seen a Chikuma kit available from Hiryu Kobo in 1/700.
