1/500 IJN Chokai (Nichimo)
The Japanese cruiser Chokai. The hull is cedar. The supplied hull was both full and waterline but a little warped. I found it very difficult to cut the railings off the Nichimo kit so I used a wooden hull.
The destroyers and corvette are made up from cedar hulls and some Revell kit parts with some Airfix stuff also. The 5"/38 single mounts are of basswood with pins for barrels. All have PE rails, ladders, and hatches.
