1/700 IJN Kako (Hasegawa)
This is the old Hasegawa 1/700 kit of the Japanese Heavy Cruiser Kako. With the new Hasegawa kits coming out I asked my friend if he would like my kits of the Furutaka, Kako, Aoba and Kinugasa. He did, so I repainted them in the correct colours, using WEM's colourcoats and weathered them. I also added etched catapults, cranes and searchlight towers from the GMM etch set for IJN cruisers. I'm pleased with the way they turned out, given the fact they are old kits. I only took photo's of the Kako as they are all similar (in fact Furutaka is indentical!)
