Aurora

1/700 Aurora (Combrig)

This is my build of the 1/700 Combrig Aurora kit. I understand it's one of their earlier offerings and, even so, the detail was still very well-done. The only major modification was opening up the gun-ports along the sides of the ship. The masts were scratch-built, photoetched rails and stairs were added. The photoetched oars and rigging on the yard arms are from White Ensign. The deck was painted and washed in the usual manner. Weathering was kept to a minimum to avoid adding an unrealistic appearance to the overall black finish.
