1/509 USS Long Beach CGN-9 (Revell)
What can I say about this kit. Very hard to build, but the results were outstanding. Won "Best of Show" at IPMS Chuck Yeager contest in April 2003. Everything was rebuilt or modified in some way. Parts were used from the Monogram Chicago Kit, Skywaves Parts sets, and even the Revell Forrestal Kit. Decals were scrounged from various sources. Photo etched stuff from Gold Medal, Toms Modelworks, and Flagship models. The plans by Loren Perry made the difference building this kit. Couldn't have done it without them. Everyone Enjoy!
